Default Forum jumping... On accident

Not sure if I can explain this in type without a demonstration. Please excuse the lack of proper terminology.

I use the scroll wheel in the center of my mouse to scroll pages (it's a habit) and quite often my cursor/pointer happens to get lined up with a jump forum box as it moves up or down the page. When the two meet the scrolling will very briefly indicate another forum to jump to. As the page continues scrolling the forum jump box registers a newly scrolled selection and I get accidentally jumped to another forum. On this slow dial up I spend a lot of time backing up from a forum I had no intention of visiting.

Is it possible to make the forum jump box only accept the selection when the "GO" button is clicked?

It is possible but I would get hell for it from the users...so many love the forum jump in auto mode. It only should "attach" itself when scrolling if you click on it though as I use the wheel to scroll myself and never have this problem.
