I've tried using the RC Universe search feature many times, and perhaps it's just that I'm spoiled from using Google for searching, but the RC Universe forum search engine seems almost useless. The AND OR operators don't seem to work in the advanced search, and many times two identical searches done 30 seconds apart will return completly different results. Like no hits the first time I search using some terms, and then hundreds of hits that aren't consistent with my search terms...

Doesn't Google offer a version of their search engine for use by web sites & forums? A lot of the power of these forums is to enable us to find advice and information on obscure topics - but we need an effective way to filter the zillions of posts...

Did you click the search button top rightand notice the google search at the very top you can use instead?
