Just my two cents. I do not like them.

These pop-ups are something that RCU has just installed. They have been used on RCU's sister site Wattflyer.com for quite some time and have been well liked and accepted there. But we do understand that some members to not like them. The option has been installed for members to individually turn them off on their computers. To turn these off simply mouse over a banner (or any link that is external to RCU) and when the pop-up appears click on the options button. This is located in the upper right hand corner of the pop-up window and resembles a small gear. Then simply click "disable" to turn them off.

Thank you Ken. I'm just an old grouch who is getting very very tired of more and more advertisement jumping around the screen to attract my attention. I already click of the ads I'm interested in, at least these are RC related. I've almost stopped watching TV especially movies unless it's on a pay channel. If this keeps up I'll stop using the Internet too. Heck ads are even imprinted on the floor at the grocery store.

They have been removed a few days back as many were having slow browser loads, incompatibilities and some even had trouble disabling. There were not ads but previews of external links including videos, links in posts, banners, etc. Anyway until snap.com gets their code cleaned up we won't use it
