Plane review idea

Knowing next to nothing about web site set ups I don't know if this is possible. I would like to see a new tab on the plane review board. Next to where it has the recomend a set up and things like that. I would like to see a "after 50 flights review". I am as guilty as the next guy about giving a glowing review to my newest pride and joy. If the system could email me 3-6 months down the road and ask for a 50 flight review. I could give much better insight to how the plane performs and how it has held up. After reading some reviews done by me and others I think some things would change. Some for the better and some for the worse. I am a huge fan of Car and Driver magazine. When they do a long term test they quote all the performance figure @ new and @ 40,000 miles. Plus a list of all repairs or mantainence needed. This would not help people looking at newly released product but it would help anything a few months old.

That's exactly what I mean. I think a review of a model after a few months would be more honest than a review of a model after a few flights.
Car and Driver is the best. That new blown Vette is unreal. I knew GM would not let the Viper out power it for long.

The ZR1 is quite sweet. First one went at auction for 1 million ($$$ going to charity). Guess the other exotics will have to step up their game now.
The long term tickler is possible. I will look into it but nothing keeps a user from going in now and appending an update as far as I know

Dave & Marc,
I've thought this same thing about reviews as well. But I don't always keep the plane after the review. Sometimes I will keep it, but more often than not it leaves my collection. But for the planes I keep it would be neat to do a follow up. I have often thought that my opinion of a plane does change after I get some flights on it and get more comfortable with it. I would be more than willing to do follow ups on the planes that I do keep.

I understand Marc that I could go change what has been done. But I would rather see two opinions of the same plane one new and one broken in. If that makes sense. Like Ken and most pilots I really don't get to know the plane until it has some time on it. Maybe this is one of those things that sounds good but will not get a lot of participation. Who knows. I just think it would be a help before making a big purchase. I don't own a 40% bird or a Vette. If was going to buy one I would want as much info as possible. Getting in the seat and smelling the new car smell tells me nothing about driving it every day for the next few years.
