Does the Search function work correctly?

Does the Search function work correctly?
I'm not sure the search function is working correctly.

First, to test one that works, use the "Search this Thread" to find the word Eyelets. It should find my posts.
Click back (or refresh the original link) and try again, this time search for the word hovering, there are no results. However in post 3775 the word is used.
I've tried other words like canopy and spindle. Canopy finds nothing, i'm sure we have used that word before. Spindle finds some posts but not post 3781.
Whats happening [
