Default 3000 Carb insert

I bought a carb insert for my 3000 and dont understand how to install it. It appears to be too big for the carb I have. It is not the same insert that is in my K series carburator. I have a 3250 and a 3000 and dont see how it would fit into either of those carbs. Any ideas??

*edit*
What I bought was the insert for the engine so the carb fits in to the motor. I need the insert that fits inside the carb. Is this still sold?

Thanks

Most likely, you didn't get a venturi insert, but the sleeve that SuperTigre used on the original mufflers. This reduced the size of the hole in the case so the smaller carb could be used.

Here's the insert than goes into the venturi:

SUPG2420 22623366 CARB RESTRICTOR 3000K $4.99

It has a 10mm O.D.

These parts can be ordered through any hobby retailer who sells SuperTigre engines and accessories.

Looks like they are making the mistake at the factory.

22623366 Carb Intake Restrictor 3000k is what I ordered from tower originally. Its the piece that fit the old 60, 90 size carb into the engine. I think they are making the mistake at the factory, all these inserts and restrictors can get confusing. I just need the one piece that makes my K engine a K, the piece that fits inside the 4500 carb to restrict airflow.

The part number that was on the package was SUPG2420, just like you have above. It fits inside the engine where the carb goes, but not INSIDE the carb like I expected.

thanks,

2BAX, your thoughts and suggestions on the tubing size, props and rpm would be appreciated. FLT44

Coverdup--

We checked our stock on the carb restrictors. Apparently, some stock had the wrong part in the package. Send an email to our address below, or send me a PM with your full name and address, and we'll get you the part you need.

FLT44--

We usually start out with an 18 x 10 prop and expect to see 8K or slightly higher with a non-restrictive muffler. Any prop that lets the engine turn in the high 7,000's is fine. These engines are fairly economical on fuel, and regular-size tubing seems to work fine.
