Turning the spraybar EITHER direction to lean the midrange.....

I did read the instructions on tuning the ST carb (thank you!), but still have a question.
If you rotate the spray bar one direction, it will be turned in the same direction that the rotary valve is turning. If you rotate the spray bar in the other direction, it will be moved opposite of the direction of the rotary throttle valve. So it looks like thre would be a different amount of leaning, or perhaps a different curve to the leaning depending on which way you turn it.
Is there really NO preference or difference in the leaning no matter which direction from stock that you turn it?

Just picked up a st 90 and looked at the carb. The spray slot is facing down directly into the engine. Is this the correct position and will I need to adjust this later?
