We'd run a 16x8 propeller, and expect to see RPM in the high 7,000's.

The SuperTigre S2000 is a fine engine, and will give years of service when broken-in and cared for properly.

John,

The SuperTigre S2000 and S2500 weigh 1,248 grams without muffler. The G2300 weighs 1,073 grams without muffler.

Sorry, we don't have a weight on the mufflers....we'll have to get that checked and added to the specs.

markdam,

We believe that an 18x8 prop is just too much for for the S2000, which, after all, is just 20cc in displacement. If you ran such a large propeller, the RPM would be too low for the engine to generate reasonable power to fly any model.

The 16x8 is just about the right prop to start with. It allows the engine to turn in its best torque band.

The SuperTigre S2000 and G2300 are very different engines. There is a large difference in porting.

The S2000 was intended for sport use in larger models, with a mild fuel. The lower combustion pressures and power output were what contributed to the engine's lower oil requirement.

The G2300 was intended to be used in FAI pattern, but as a more economical answer than the O.S. or YS FAI engines. It's porting was developed to that end. That's also why it requires a regular 2-stroke glow fuel instead of the low-oil "ST" type fuel.
