Default help with 6000 tigers needed

Reggie,

The SuperTigre 60 cc Twin was introduced in 1986. There were some difficulties with uneven fuel feed between the two cylinders. They changed the rear crankshaft portion in 1988 to even out the differences. Any of the engines made after that would have the "newer" rear crankshaft piece.

Unfortunately, an external inspection will not tell you if your engine was made befor 1988. Most of the engines still out there and running, though are ones made after that date.

The stock number for the rear crank is:

SUPG3303 22012474 CRANKSHAFT REAR TWIN $57.99

Ive had 2 ST 6000 and what was done to even out fuel charges
is to make a new backplate by increasing the volume in rear crankcase ..IE Machine backing plate out of solid alloy to fit rear of motor, check depth as not to crush on con rod, then machine centre as much as possible leaving about 1/4" on outside edge to hold rod to crank, mount to motor ,redrill to fit back of motor and mount.... This work for me as before this mod i had to run the motor very rich as the rear cylinder was lean even if it smoked heavily.
