Default Super Tigre S90 differences

Attached are two pix of an Italian made ST S90. Please answer the following questions:

1. What, if any, are the differences between this engine and a G90 (other than being made in China)
2. Will this engine have the same power as the G90 and does it weight the same as a G90?
3. Will a standard G90 muffler fit on this engine?
4. Will the replacement ring for a G90 fit on this engine?

Thanks,
Mike

The SuperTigre S-90, S-90K, and G-90 are similar engines. The difference between the S-90 and S-90K are styling. The "K" has the squared-off cylinder and head. The G-90 is basically similar, but has a one-piece crankcase instead of having a removable front housing.

All three engines have roughly the same power output and handling. The carburetor is virtually identical in all three. The S-90K and G-90 use the same muffler mounting. They have the "bolt-through" muffler mounting, while the S-90 has the "bolt-on" muffler mounting.

Will the cylinder head of a .75 Supertiger fit any of the .90 Tigers engines? Thanks Capt,n

Many years later, a follow on question ; Does a SuperTigre G-90 and a S-90 take the same bearings?

eBay or a classified wanted ad here or on the other RC forum sites. You will get ZERO help from the distributor since they’re in financial trouble AND aren’t much help with the older stuff anyway.
