Default Muffler Extention

Drat! I forgot to ask 1 more question on that last post. Where can I find a muffler extention for a 3000? It needs to come out about 3/4+ inch from the engine to clear the cheeks on the plane. The old j-tec muffler we have came with a small extention, would contacting j-tec and ordering about 5 of them and bolting them all together be the best alternative (sealing them each with RTV of course)?

Thanks,

Coveredup

The SuperTigre Silent muffler:

SUPG1559 12523530 SILENT MUFFLER S-3000

is adjustable, and should get the clearance you need. Unfortunatelyl, these are out of stock and won't be available until we get G3250's later this year. You may be able to locate one through the 'swap shop' areas, here on RCU.

We're not familiar enough with the Jtec mufflers to give you an answer. Sometimes, though, you can have a machinist friend make you an extension that will do the job.
