i don't have any of that stuff, but on my 450 with the stock align brushless 430XL motor, the ESC's and Motor's heat sinks are too hot to touch for more than a second. i just let it cool in between flights.

hope that helps

You're running too large of a pinion for that kv motor. On the stock 1220 kv motor you didn't want to go above 15 teeth on the pinion. Leave timing and pulse width on their default values.

Yeah..16t pinion is to large for the motor, change to 15t pinion the motor & ESC seem to be ok with the temp.Viper vsh6013 1300kv is very quite than other brand love it thanks.

Glad you got it sorted..

i had a similar problem with a Gaui 550 and a 1600Kv motor running a 13T pinion..

I have 100 amp ESC and this combo was running crazy hot.. both the motor and ESC were too hot to touch and I only got about 4 minutes flying time.

I changed to a 600 sized motor, 1100Kv, put a 14T pinion and upped the throttle curves to give me the same Rotor head speed..

it made a phenomenal difference.. the motor and ESC run completely cool and I now get 8 minutes flight time easily..

here is vid of the 2nd flight with the new motor... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pn1ngAwJ_cg

I couldn't beleive a larger motor would be so much better..
