Servos not centering
OK,
Had a little oops after I got my Trex going. Hovering good, and thought I had very little negative pitch. Well I did. However when I would pull the throttle back, the swashplate would come down to where the bottom of the 2 alignment pins coming from the head, were just a hair above the alignment block. When I was hovering I guess a little harder landing than usual caused the block to break one of the pins.
So I replaced the upper head block and reset everything to make sure no problems would crop up this time. But when I went to test hover the Trex, it simply tries to tip over rather than lift straight up. So I stopped and checked the swasphlate movement. It seems like the servos are no longer centering or coming back to neutral. They will if I quickly move them, but a slow move usually leaves the swashplate off center.
Could something have happend to all 3 servos because of this. They are HS56B (or 65B the newest).
From what I can tell there is no binding. I am going to try and recharge a battery, but I can get enough head spead and power to hover, so I must assume the servos are getting enough power.
As far as centering, it is random on all three servos. The heli is the Trex 450SE.
Futaba radio and reciever.

RE: Servos not centering
But all three servos are not centering or are behaving this way?? what are the odds of stripped gears on all three.
I assume this is a CCPM (CDE) setup, sounds more like a pitch curve issue. Review your curve and swash mixing and ensure the swash travel is setup properly between 0 and 100%. There's a video on here somewhere which is excellent in explaining exactly how the swash servos are to be setup through the Tx.

@yvesOttawa
I am at work, but my thoughts were the pitch setup as well.
I have seen the video and used it to originally setup. But adjusted the pitch for the aileron, so I may have messed it up. Will go back and verify settings.

RE: Servos not centering
Got it figured out.
Looks like it was a combination of binding and the pitch curves.
I did notice the flybar is hard to swivel with no linkage connected. So I used locktight and loosened the screws a little. Moves freely now and I don't think I will have a problem of screws backing out.
Thanks... Tomorrow or Sat will be another test flight.

RE: Servos not centering
I've seen that this problem is due to the linkage, when you built your T-rex, you should soften all the ball links in the T-rex since they are so hard to move. In my experince with helis is that you should yous a Ball link sizing tool to make more soft all the linkage.
I guess you have all the linkage of the T-Rex very hard.

I may have 2 theads going on this
But the linkages seem fine. They snap on fairly clean.
I did find 2 balls that were scratched pretty bad, and I replaced them.
When I assembled it this time I double checked that all linkages were free.

THis problem and the my swashplate problem were solved. Turns out they were not related, but fixed.
