I've got an 25 amp Castle Creations ESC in my T-Rex 450XL. I've heard this would be fine for sport flying, but that I may want a 35amp (or more) if I were to do any hardcore stuff with it (3D, etc).

What do you all think? My 25 amp seems to work O.K. at the moment.

My opinion is just what you said. For playing around, hovering, forward flight, the 25A is just fine. Sport flying should use the 35A for best results and a better motor than the standard 420LX that comes with the kit.

Cooked the Castle 25 amp, moved up to the 35 and have had no problems!
