I'm sure that this has been covered somewhere in all of these threads so I apologize for asking again. I'm about to get the 450xl and was wondering what servos you all recommend for this heli. Something decently priced would be great. Thanks for your help.

i would recommend 4 airpower s1612 servos 8.99 each and they have got 1.6 kg of torque hope you find this helpfull.

The generaly accepted minimum is 3x Hitec HS56 for the cyclic.
You can easily use HS65 rather than the HS56.

Going with anything less invites problems with servo torque, speed, current draw and centering.

I use HS56's for all four servos and i dont have any issues what so ever.

For analog servos I'd get the Hitec HS65 as they are reported to be a good servo. However, I prefer digital servos in helis for sure.

I just bought 4 HS55 servos for a 3D plank and I am so dissatisfied with them I will likely swap them out for the new JR DS285 servos before the first flight. The JR digital micro servos are very smooth and precise, unlike the loud, rough and not precise Hitec HS55's. I do have Hitec mini servos(HS225) that I like, but they are too big for the T-Rex.

My T-Rex has JR DS281 servos in it, except for the Futaba 9650 on the tail. They have been fantastic. I also do not try to save money on helis. Everytime I have I end up spending more in the long run. I just wait until I can do it right.
