Uh Oh !!!! I didn't do my research and now I find out!!!! I have seen many posts about the Align brand 25Amp motor speed controller wimping out pretty quick. This is the controller that comes with the pre-packaged 450XL kit with the Align motor in the Yellow kit. Interesting how the 450SE package comes with a 35A controller. Hmmm???? Well, as usual I tried to save a buck or 2 and will pay dearly... So do I risk flying with the 25A or what? As usual any help would be appreciated.

i have the same kit
450Xl with 3550kv motor and 25A esc on TP 2100 3 cell
i have about 6 flights with it so far and the esc is running about 109*F. from what ive asked and seen on the forums it should be ok as long as you dont 3D with it just basic flying. i have the motor throttle curve set at 90 mid stick and 100% after i guess the motor runs better at full throttle. also the pitch on mine is 0 at low stick it hovers at 5* mid stick and max at 9*
the biggest thing is to be sure the gear mesh is good and the tail belt is not to tight these are the things that makes the motor/ESC hot. also that you dont run lots of pitch at low throttle
i asked basic same Q here

I have run the 25amp speedy for 12months,from learning to hover till now were i have just started doing loop's, roll's and attemping inverted hovering.I only usually
fly it for one battery at a time & lucky if i get to fly it once a week.So far so good.Have just up graded to the 35amp speedy & 3500 per volt motor in antisapation of
giving it a bit more of a hard time.

Thanks for the response guyz. It will be quite a while before I put any heavy motor loads on the heli. Its a hard deal to pass up that combo at that price.
