RE: Dynam 40A ESC
Andrew, my own experiences with the Dynam controllers have been excellent. Never had a failure or overheat problem. I've got a 60A one in a .40 size F4U corsair conversion I did and it's been working flawlessly. They're really hard to beat for the price! I fly it on 6S (22.2V)
( http://www.greatnorthernhobbies.com/...topic.php?t=45 ) for pictures of the ESC + a video of the flight if you're interested.
Keep in mind this has been plane use mostly for me, never tried them in a heli, though i'd imagine that they should work fine.
My only real gripe thus far is that they have a low (2.75V) lithium cutoff voltage. I'd prefer 3.0.
The only way to select the 3.0V lipo cutoff voltage option with the ESC is by using a programming card (anything that works on a JETI ESC should work with the Dynam ones) otherwise the ESC auto-detects and auto-sets cutoff voltage at 2.75.
Good luck
