Yikes, $1046.29 total! So, how did I do? Does everything look alright? Tell me what your set-up is like, I'll compare things. Constructive criticism please. (Help me lower the price a little too, if possible.)

don't know that motor....

but I wouldn't use that ESC

too low... go with a 30 - 35 amp

I used the Quark 33 and loved it.... many use the Phx 35 too
also,,,, spend the extra $10 or $15 and get the 401 gyro. it is better, faster, and can be adjusted remotely

other stuff looks great

Well you will need a 35 amp ESC, the 20 amp is insufficient. I would recommend the Castle Creations Phoenix 35. That's what I am using and I have zero overheating issues. You don't say if you are new to heli's or experienced but if your a newbie you can lower your radio cost by going with a 6 channel JR 6102 computer heli radio, e-bay has some good deals. I use Hitec HS 65 non MG servos on a 450XL CDE eCCPM setup with no problems which can save you a few bucks. You will need a different Tail rotor servo that what you have chosen. I am not an extreme 3D pilot and I use a HS -56 with a 240 gyro on the tail but many pilots are using digital servos on the tail rotor. Hope this helps and remember it is just an opinion/recommendation. I am sure that someone else will have a better set-up for you.

I just installed a ''WAYPOINT PRECISION SUB-MICRO 9.2 G SERVO HIGH SPEED/HELI'' on the tail of my REX. I have a GY240, and it works very nicely with this servo. It seems to be nice quality, has good torque and high speed. For $18, it's not too shabby

One last thing, your motor choice, try http://www.heliaddict.com/product_in...roducts_id=594 or http://www.dynawebs.net/cgi_bin/addToCartV2.cgi , cheaper than the motor your looking at and designed for the T-Rex.

I suggest going with an Align brushless motor. I heard and seen nothing but good things about it.

two things. 1) you need more than one battery. really. you will get frustrated and bored with only one battery pack. 2) since you are using the hs65mg servow (yea!), see if whoever you buy the dx-7 will let you buy the package without the standard servos and the receiver battery. when i got mine the hobby knocked off aobut $75 - $80 without the std servos and rec battery.

have fun and enjoy the new heli. i've got nearly the exact same setup you describe (but i am using the align motor and esc). currently have 3 battery packs and my wife is bringing me 3 more packs from united hobbies in hong kong. of course with more packs you probably need an additional charger. the cellpro 4s is a great charger for around $60 (but you may have to spend another $10 for a connector to fit your battery).

Thanks again guys! I changed some things on the first post again. I think I got it now! [8D]

FYI, I have experience flying a Blade CP (bad experience there [:@]), Lama V3 and a Falcon 40 (with Hitech servos and Super-Skids).
