i programmed my ESC and hooked it up to my motor and the crappy Rx battery that comes with the Spektrum DX7 but when i give it some throttle input it revs for about a second and then it stops. This is a brand new motor and ESC and it isnt attached to the heli. I was just wondering what would cause it to do what it is doing. Does the crappy battery have anything to do with it?

What size T-rex are you trying to fly? On the 450 series, the ESC needs to be wired between the 11.1V LiPo and the motor and then plugged in to the throttle channel on the receiver. There's no need to use the Rx battery on a 450. Also the Rx battery isn't strong enough to push the motor, at least not for very long.

Im flying the 450. I was just doing the ESC programming and wanted to make sure everything was working correctly so that was why i was using the Rx battery. I figured that the weak battery was the reason that it wasnt working corectly. Thanks!
