I am returning to the hobby after a few years off. When I left it was the Zoom/T-Rex war... I see who won and guess which I have. lol Oh well I am going to fly it til the parts run out. I do however have a set of really nice electronics and motor for a 45 size that I might save for a T-rex.
A 401 Gyro. Castle speed control, brushless setup and a berg receiver. I had a new zoom to set up .. just never finished it. So no I think I will run out the zoom with the brush set up till I run out of parts which should be a while.
Now heres my question... Can I get a SE bird without any electrics or motor etc.
Any other thoughts to my current situation would be great. I do a blade cx to hrlp get my thumbs back after some time off... that didnt take lond and is actually kinda fun lil bird but will wear out of fun factor fast I think.
Thanks

I've never seen an SE 'bare bones' kit. They call come with motor and ESC from what I can tell. Not sure, tho...
Don't be too quick to dis your Zoom. It's still a great little heli. Maybe not as good at 3D as the REX, but still not a bad heli at all...

You can buy the base kit with no motor or ESC. www.deeteeenterprises.com sells them for $379. Helihobby.com sells them for $425 with some extra items (pitchguage, lubricant, etc. So they are available as a bare bones kit.

There you go. These guys ship great, and I got my heli all together with a battery, rx, xtal for about 750 shipped! This was an SE (I had the tx already though). Anyhow, i still can't find better prices than this.
