I'm looking into getting a TREX v2 and am wondering if the Spektrum DX6 or DX7 would be good radios for it? I'd love to get one of the big expensive Futaba radios but at this time would rather get something that I can swap between my Blade CP Pro & TREX v2. Then move up to a Futaba when I get a Nitro bird (Raptor). Are the Spektrum radios decent for the money ($200-350) or would I just be tossing my cash in the garbage with one of these?

No way!!! This is one of the best systems I've ever seen! No glitches, snags or problems at all! You can use 3 different RX's to go with it from the parkflier AR600, to the midrange AR6100 to the all out AR7000. Simply bullet proof and easy to use! Worth everycent to have the peace of mind that you won't get any interference.(and we need all the confidence in our radios that we can afford!!!)

The Dx7 doesn't lack anything program wise either. With 5 point curves, there's quiet a jump in price beyond that with any brand.
I really don,t see another radio in my future, unless there's a future Dx9 with some competative options to high end radios for not alot more.

Dx7 on a Heli max axe cp and soon to be fully built T-rex 450 SE v2 i have 2 ar7000 and 2 ar6100 (Make sure they are v 1.2 free fix if you already have them but now the new ones are just showing up_issue with loss of signal) I would say that this is the best item i have for all my rc 1 unit for 3 helis and 2 planes.

Looks like I'll be going with the DX7 as it sounds like a good one to use on my current & future flytoys and it won't slay my wallet.
Thank you so much for the advice everyone!

I dunno, these guys seem to have it together. Might be behind the power curve but looks like a winner to me.

I have a DX6 and works great for me - never had a glitch. I know the DX7 is more capable and has some newer features, but so far the DX6 is meeting my needs. When I bought it there were just other things I needed to spend money on so I just went with my budget, so if you can afford the DX7 then go for it.

I have seen more than a few people hit the wrong switch with catastrophic results, so I figured I need to learn how to fly a heli with the least distractions. I need everything stacked in MY favor to learn to fly, which means enough switches to get the job done, which the DX6 has. Personally, I can do basic 3D and I have yet to want for more options or switches.
