Default trex batterys

Im sure this gets talked about a lot but I wish to be sure before I buy. I have a trex with a now inflated lipo 2200mh 11.1v and I was wondering if i could get a bigger mh or bigger all together, but if and for what would I have to change in settings or speedy?
thanks

Just wondering what the"C" rating was on your puffy lipo?
Most people go 2200mAh 3S1P or 11.1v and 20C, anything less than 15C packs and your asking for trouble.

rating on the batt is 20-30c it puffed because it was pluged in to the switched off heli for too long. now I need a new battery nad I wanted to know if I have to stay with the same 2200mh 11.1v settings or if I can get a higher mh.

You simply over-discharged your pack. A higher "C" rating is desirable, if you can maintain the pack dimensions and weight, if not, you are just adding too much weight to the model. I've seen people running 4S set-ups and the performance is ballistic, but the "C" rating is about the same and the Capacity (2200mAh) is about the same. You need to take better care of those batteries so they last longer.

well i went out and got a flight power 2100mh tonight but am now waiting till I get a balancer before I do anything.
I also think I will invest in a battery monitoranong with another battery form align but havent had much success in finding it on the site, do you know where I can find it.
Also I was hoping to pull the old battery apart but i was unsure of the safest ways to do it, I have been told that they can explode if air gets into the sealed pack.

Try the Cellpro 4S balance charger for about $70. This thing is awesome.
