BROKEN MOTOR SHAFT
I have a broken motor shaft on my 430l. I would like to know where to get a new shaft and how to take the old one out. Is there a tool you can buy.

RE: BROKEN MOTOR SHAFT
If the output shaft broke, you would need a new armature. I don't think Align offers that part (but I could be wrong). I've never seen one for sell anywhere, though...
Most likely, you will need to replace the whole motor [&o]
As for your question about how to take the motor apart: If it is the older model with gold ends, then they are 'glued' in and a press fit. You will need to heat around the end with a small torch, and carefully pry it out.
If it's the newer type with silver ends, then they are threaded, and screw into the can. You will need to unscrew it, but it's locked in with threadlock, so some heat may be required as well...
Good luck!

I think the 430L goes for around 40-50$?? You may be better off just buying a new motor and save some time/trouble of trying to dismantle the old one.

I would just get a new motor. The connections inside mine went and I tried forever to get the gold ends off with heat and I just wasted time and ended up narfin up the gold end and if I would of got it off and fixed it would of looked like crap once put back in the bird.

I did a search and it seems like this has happened a lot. I would hate to junk the motor for a shaft being broke. Does align stand behind there product. If so i will see if they will replace the motor if i can not order parts off of them.

Now might be a good time to upgrade your motor to a more powerful, and also more efficient motor. I posted a link to an article that tested a number of Trex-appropriate motors and the 430L was not very effcient and was near the bottom of the performance charts. You can check it out for yourself [link=http://www.trextuning.com/3s-supertest.php]here[/link]

RE: BROKEN MOTOR SHAFT
Well I bought it off of grandrc about 2 months ago. So I have tried to email them for about 3 days with no respond. I sent an email to alignrcusa.com. I let you know who answers first.

Just pick up the phone and call grandrc. The always answer the phone, and should work pretty quick with you to get it fixed. I have had to call them a few times about questions on products and got a cracked canopy once, every time they answered my questions.
