DX7 and T-Rex aluminium case?
Hi,
anyone putting the DX7 into the Trex case?
because from all the pictures, the DX7 antenna looks higher than the 'normal' one, which can be fully pressed into the Tx. so it should not fit in there in the default position

RE: DX7 and T-Rex aluminium case?
I just got my Align case about a week ago. I turned my DX7 sideways, folded the antenna sideways and everything fit fine. I did not even need to cut any foam. I have only used my case a couple of times, but it sure does make it easy to transport everything to the park. Here are a couple of pics of mine in the case.

try turning your DX7 180 degrees around so the antenna sits underneath the TREX and now you have a open square foam space to hold your plastic box that came with your TREX (the one that held the motor and the ESC). that plastic box fits in there perfectly and can hold all sorts of screws, tail blades, paddles, anything tiny.

I'm still trying to decide between this Align case and the Flightleader case. [&:]
Anyone have some concrete insight? I've seen the thread about it, but i'm still torn.

Something else I did was 180 the foam so when the case is upright the heli is on its skids instead of on the main shaft. I sleep better at nights knowing my investment is safe in that case.

RE: DX7 and T-Rex aluminium case?
Thanks for the tips! I am going to switch my foam and Transmitter around. I plan on using my case to take my Rex with me to work at least 3 days a week. I am an elementary school teacher and we have an enormous open track/playground that is perfect for flying. School starts back up in a few weeks and my heli will be a great way to unwind after a day full of 6th grade kids!
I have also heard good things about the Flightleader case. However, I was able to get the Align case from my LHS for $59.99 + tax so I could not resist.
Good luck!
