Default hot esc

i was out flying yesturday and noticed that the velcro holding my esc to the bottem of my heli was comming off "the glue was melting due to heat from the esc" is this common or is my esc getting to hot and i need to replace it before it fails.

It depends on your setup. If you're using the ESC's built in BEC, you could prolong it's life by buying an external BEC. This would keep all of your electronics working better.

Where's it mounted? I swapped mine with the receiver. So now it is sitting under the fan that's built into the drive gear, and the receiver is in the nose. It stays nice and cool there.
