Hi guys.... I have read in some forums people talk about a Tx in MODE 1 or MODE 2.... what is that?????? I have no clue.... Thanks for your help. (I am getting a DX7 in MODE 1, good or bad? for a t-rex 450 SE and a RAPTOR 30 V2)

MODE 1: Throttle on the right
MODE 2: Throttle on the left

Most sane people fly MODE 2

Flying helis is hard mode one and any help you get will 99 percent of the time be flying mode 2.

Got me thinking, do the people on the other side of the pond fly mode one? Reason I ask, all the Playstation games are basically mode 1. And, it sucks[>:]

so, what's the most commun????? MODE 2 (throttle in the left) is that right???????? but I think if I get the throttle in the right (I am not used to it) I can open the Tx and change switch it.... can't I??? I think I read about it in another forum...

Yeah mode 2 is more common. Most high end radios are set up so you can swap them out. There probably are threads around here explaining how to do it for your specific radio.

ok, thanks, I got it finally.... I am getting a DX7 AIR version.... it says MODE 1.... so I think I`ll have to swap it out. Thanks!!!

I'm new to helis but I think most guys over here fly mode 2 although on fixed wing it seems to be a mixture of 1 & 2.

does anyone know if it's a big deal to swap of side the throttle???? or how to do it?????

Yes, i'm a mode one flyer. I want a dx7 mode1. Where did you get it dude? I'm pretty sure it's not that easy where as you just swap the sticks. You have to do some soldering too.

I think it's not easy at all, I called spektrum and they said it's possible to swap BUT you have to send the Tx to them and they will do it for free, you just have to cover the round shipping.

I have been flying mode 1 on airplanes for 20 years,, and helis on mode 2 for about 6 months,learning,, getting ready swap my rx 6 and 7 and my futaba 7 back over too mode 1 for the heli flying,, dont see how any can fly mode 2 lol,, anyway I swap my radios,its not hard just swap a spring lever arm from the throttle too the other stick,or vise versa be sure too set the tension how ya like it,, u may have re-program a switch or 2 dual rates and what not,
I get too learn too fly helis again ,,on mode 1 the right mode lol
