Default question about this indicator in the DX7

Hi guys.... I got a DX7 transmiter but I don't undertand something, what is that line that I marked in the image????? Is that the battery charge??? what is it???? it's a combination of 2 lines (a dark and a clear one) and also it says the Volts it has.... the battery is 1,500mah... what is the maximum???? I charged the Tx for 14 hours (as the manual says) and the maximum is 10V.... and the dark line doesn't go all across the clear one. Basically i don't understand what it is and what it means, also, why is there a mark in the middle of the indicator???? what does it mean????? and....... for how long should I be able to use the Tx before having the low battery alarm????? Thanksssssss

I was wondering what this 'line' is. I suspect it is some form of indication of the battery voltage, and i think maybe the little mark in the middle is some 'low voltage treshold' indication. Hope someone know for sure as the manual is really not any helpful (Especially for someone with no previous experience with R/C computer radio).

The maximum battery voltage should reach at least 11.0v after charging for 14 hours (atleast all my radios with an 9.6v battery pack have 11.3v when I unplugg the charger).

If I'm not totaly mistaking, I think the manual says that you can use the radio for about 5-6 hours on a full charge. But I personally would not use the radio if the voltage gets too far below 10.0v

I see..... I thought the same thing but I wasn't sure if the maximum is 10V.... is what what you have got????? also, I have charged it for 14 or 16hrs and all what I get are 2-3 hours of use before the alarm starts bipping, do you think my battery is failed or you get the same thing????? Obviously I never wait that the Tx dies and I plug it to the electricity, but I think 2-3 hrs of use is not long for a day full of flying adventure at a club, especially if you flight both, helis and planes.

First off, I'm no expert at this. So the info I give is only based on my own experience. Hopefully someone else will chime in with some info/fact also for comparison.

I get 11.3v on the dx7 after 12 hours of charging, but I can't really say how long it last before the alarm trigger. But I have used it for at least 2.5 hours without going below 10.0v. I have not used it very much yet beouse I only have 2 helis using the dx7.

I have other transmitters also for some other helis and planes, and they also get to 11.3v after charging for 12 hours. One of them (Hitec Optic 6) gives me 3-4 hours of flying before the alarm starts, but it has less mah on the battery.
