Default Trex setup

Hello forum

I need a little info on this set up. If I get this combo, T-REX 450SA ARF Combo w/430L 3550 Motor & 35G ESC, can I use the servos that come with the spectrum 6 chn radio.
Whats the cheapest HH gyro/servo that will work with this setup. I am trying to keep this project as cheap as possible. Thanks

Are you talking about the S75 servos? They'll work, but they're not very reliable, especially after a few crashes. If you search the forums, you'll see quite a few reports of them becoming glitchy.

As for gyro/servo, I would advise NOT going cheap on them. More than anything else, the gyro and tail servo you choose will determine how easy the heli will be to fly. If you go cheap, you're going to be spending a lot of effort just to keep the tail steady.

those servos will work as thebum stated ( I had them on mine) but they really are only good for hovering and maybe some slow FF and lazy circuits. I bought HS65HB's for the cyclic and a HS81MG for the tail on mine. I am still using the TLB (telebee) gyro until I can afford the Logitech 2100T I have been drooling over. take thebum's advice......don't scrimp, just bite the bullet and get what is proven, you will save money in the long run!

ArrowNaughtic.
Just replaced my G90 Gyro with the Logitech and all I ca say is WOW. Didn't realize a gyro can actually work so well in rate mode. Heading hold is awesome. One standard G90 going to the spares box...

One of the guys thats been tinkering with cheap equipment flew my Mini Titan today with a 401 and couldn't believe the difference good servos and a gyro made, he said he was going to run over his mx400 on the way out of the parking lot.

You can...I did and it flew OK, then replaced them with the widely recommended Hitec 65's. First thing I noticed was less CCPM interaction, meaning the servos all start and stop with stick movement on the collective better than they did with the Spectrum servos. If $ is the concern, keep the Spectrums and get a good gyro. I've got the Logitec LGT2100T...can't beat it. Dave
