Almost every pack I ever had allows the user to determine the type of plug. I use the Deans Ultra plug on all my lipos from my 3 cell packs to my 5000 mah lipos on the Trex 600. Not sure which helicopter you have, but I would suggest the Deans Ultra regardless.

I use deans for the Trex also, i wasnt sure on the "charge" plug. Is it the same as the align?, i see the TP and FP plugs are black, where as 3e lipos, align and many others are white.

Now I see where you're coming from. Those are not "charge" plugs. They are balance plugs. Some come with a 6 pin plug while others like my EVO 4900 pack have two plugs -- one is a 2 pin and one is a 4 pin. When plugging into the balancer, you must plug in the four pin plug first, or the charger (at least the one I use) will think it's only a 3 cell pack. I use a Thunder Power 1010c and the 210V balancer.

W4RCF, thanks for clarifying the "balance" plug. I am not new to lipo batteries or helis. I just wasn't aware that it was called a balance plug, until now.
All i want to know is are the balance plugs different between Flight power and Align batteries?? I would like to order either flight power or thunder power batteries and need to know if my charger will charge them.

Never owned an Align battery. Mine are Thunder Power and Mega Power. I had to order an adapter for the Mega Power 5000 because it has a 6 pin plug and my balancer won't accept a 6 pin plug. Sorry I couldn't help on the question. Happy Landings!

heliaction,

this is taken from Tower's description of the Flight power lipo;

This is the FlightPower Evo 25
2170 3S 11.1V LiPo Battery Pack with Balance Connector.

FEATURES: Optimum power and weight for helis and aerobatics 25C Continuous Discharge 50C Burst Charge and Discharge leads are compatible with FlightPower and Thunder Power

So, in short, FlightPower and Thunder Power use the same charge leads.

Yes, the Align plugs are different. If you have a charger with Align connectors on it and want to charge a FlightPower or ThunderPower battery with it or vice versa, ReadyHeli sells adapters: Align-type charger to FP/TP pack or FP/TP-type charger to Align pack.
