Default Never messed with this function before on my DX6

While at the field I had a near mess up. While pluggin in my Trex my dx6 topples over..And goes full thottle..."BUT" trex doesnt go ape Sh&t on me instead the esc goes into I suppose voltage mode or something. I never really messed with this function on my Heli..Now on my parkzone airplanes I have to set voltage for lipo or stardard battery voltage this way... It went thru a series of beeps, I unpluged everything and turned the controller back on "laid it down this time" plugged up the rex and it started to sing differently. Then when I was spooling her up I noticed it took 2 seconds or more to actually get full spool. So I figured ok it is messing with the voltage. Took me awhile to get this thing reset by letting it go thru a complete cycle of beeps before it was back to normal.

So question is with a DX6 Trex 450sa with 35 amp align esc, 430 motor..using a 2100 lipo.. what do all these different series of beeps mean? What type of settings are they putting the esc into? This is one thing Im a total noob on..I never messed with these settings before but I am curious at this point..
