For a semi newbie,I can fly a cp+ back and forth and hover ok. Looking at a trex 450sa, but having a hard time on servos. I am thinking about the jr servo pack (comes with 3 ds 285 and 1 ds3400g) for $159.00 , any thoughts on these ? or are ther better buys out there? I really don't much between one servo and another. is a $30 dollar servo that much better than a $13 dollar servo.

Is there a difference between a Volkswagen beetle & a Porche 911? Speed & handling. The digitals are much faster & more precise. But speed costs money,-- how fast do you want to go?
Yes the JR set is really good. Do yourself a favor & get a Futaba GY401 gyro & set it up for A digital servo.
BTW you will be amazed at how well the Trex flies!!! Probably won't fly your blade anymore.
Good Luck

I have that exact flight pack with the G500t gyro and it works beautifly. The only thing about that gyro is it doesent auto center itself like the 401 or the new jr g770. Once you get it goin its great and most people are getting away from them because new stuff is coming out. It really just depends on how much you want to fiddle. And yes, chances are you will want to change over to the metal gears for the 285's. They are however around $20 a servo. If anyone has found these cheaper please let me know!!!

I have the 285's and the 95650 attached to a GY401 and its is great. IMHO dont spend the money on better swash servos untill you get better at flying it then get better faster servos.
