I got cocky today and decided to do some FF with turns. My first turn was my last. i shut everything down so i don't think there is any servo/gear or esc damage. However, i bent my tail boom, and broke my gorilla gear (i thought it was unbreakable?
) scraped my tail blades and dented my wooden blades. overall I'm not too upset as i learned quite a bit from that.
My tail shaft is almost at a 10* angle halfway down (little tail fin is snapped as well) how likely is it that there is damage in the tail itself? is it worth it to get the CF shaft as well? thanks for input.

Yep, typical damage...I'm surprised your main blades survived!
But when I crashed, I would bend the tail boom almost every time. There are varying opinions on carbon vs. aluminum, but I tried carbon and it broke first crash. I stick with the aluminum ones...much cheaper and you get two in a pack.

I am going back to aluminum booms too by the way.
Your woodies are probably trash. You can give them the bend/twist test to listen for crackling and still fly them. If my woodies have nicks I get rid of them. That is a point of failure now not a pretty sight mid flight.

I'd also say stay with the stock gear struts and boil them. Put them in boiling water for about five minute then shut of the heat, leave them in the water and wait untill you can get them out by hand. You will find you can flex them almost flat and not break them. I just managed to break the first set I ever did this to the other day and that took about a 20' drop. Caught a wid gust that slammed me down and didn't get on the collective fast enough. Wasn't pretty.

Sounds like a normal crash to me. No doubt about it, crashing STINKS! After every crash I can almost always count on replacing main blades, featherin shaft, main shaft, ,main gear and lately I always seem to break tail blades. I have "only" broken 3 tail booms in my 8 or so crashes but I still stick with the aluminum.
Your tail case is most likely fine. However, I would go ahead and order a set of tail shafts just in case it is bent. If you woodies are damaged at all I would just toss them and install a new set.
Crashing just goes with the hobby. Try to build up a nice crash kit and hopefully you will be back in the air quickly next time. At first I always seemed to break something I did not have in my kit. Now I always buy at least two of whatever broke in hopes that I will be ready for my next mishap.
