Default t-rex 450 twitching

Has anyone had this problem, Im flying and hovering and the Heli twitches, and another thing last night was my first crash, I know im not suppose to be flying my heli in the dark but i wanted to try something, I was about twelve feet in the air when the heli started flying by itself, i could not control it. it just started going higher and higher, and here comes the strange thing, the heli flew between some buildings not hiting anything and i found it in a field behind these apartments about 25 yards away, the only thing that was wrong was the flybar was bend and a servo was stripped from the crash. Wierd huh

what axis was it twitching on? if its the yaw axis, you may have issues with your gyro. my rex twitches from time to time in yaw because i have my sensitivity to close to the dead band of the gyro. i may be mistaken, but if you move the tail pushrod to a hole closer to the center of the servo horn, you can increase sensitivity and therefor be rid of the tail twitching. good luck, and let me know if this helps.

hw said it flew away by itself avoiding buildings, how many axis do you need to control to do that I would take that to a priest to get it de-possesed[X(]

Thanks for the responses,
Now i cant set up my gyro right. I have the esky 0704b,
the tail spins, and another question, when you make radio movement is the gyro suppose to blink?

I have that same gyro on my King II...it's not a very good one. But I did learn you MUST mount it upright/vertically. In other words, the smaller "side" of the gyro, not the larger flat "bottom" of the gyro needs to be facing down....hard to explain but hopefully you understand. I have mine mounted so the label is facing the tail of the heli.

Oh and yes when you give rudder input, it will blink.

thanks Sharn,
I had it mounting flat. it worked perfectly, it just started to act up, i think due to the radio setting where changed, but ill try to mount it differently.
