I have the Align 450s with 35x a esc,I put a 7C 2.4 617 receiver on it and it got real hot, I'm running 2170 flight power battery's 11.1 volt's , checked my esc voltage and it was 6.05 volts, do I need a step down Regulator or what? Thanks I am new to electrics....eddr50

You should be ok at 6volts.
Does everything work ok aside from heating?

how do you have everything laid out in your t-rex? you may be picking up radiant heat from another source.
