Went out to a large park near my work for lunch to fly a few packs...
I was having a great time...no people, hardly a puff of breeze. I started with my TRex 500. I finally started with some flips and rolls with it....such a nice heli! It really responds!
So I pulled out the 450 out it's case and started flying it. I have been very comfortable flying it since I have the larger 500...decided I was going to try to hover inverted...did a front flip and held it...it was only for about 15 seconds...but I did it!
The sim time paid off. I held it in a steady hover no problem! I was starting to shake pretty bad so I had to flip back over and just do FF for a while until I got the nerves back under control...what a rush!

Awesome man congrats, I am still waiting for the right time to try it myself ... can do it pretty well on the sim at least off of a stationary backflip or loop ... need to try soon with my 450 as well and then the 500.

Congrats on your success!! I just recently began some inverted forward flight after inverted hovering for some time. I still have not got up the guts to attempt an inverted circuit. My breakthrough came when I bough a T-Rex 600. It is so stable while inverted that it boosts my confidence and makes me look like a much better pilot.
Congrats again and keep practicing!

Congrats my friend
[sm=thumbs_up.gif]
I'm still boing basic FF flight, figure 8 stall turns and such. Maybe someday [sm=47_47.gif]
I'm going to ask Santa for good flight SIM for Christmas and hope to get some of that stuff down during the long cold winter here in NE
Have fun and congrats again [sm=thumbs_up.gif]

I have yet to try that, but now that I have the trex600 going, i might just 'get her done' on one of the smaller birds!
Great to hear, congrats,

Congratulations, Feels great to have a breakthrough moment.
If you see me flying inverted get out of the way because it is not on purpose

Fantastic! I know the feeling
My progress is going well too with my T-Rex 450 Se V2 , loops, flips , pirouettes , stall turns, tornados , working on rolls exit as I keep slidding back on exit but now I started doing himmelman and thats fun too. I did stop inverted on a loop once but very short burst for now. [X(]
Hoping to hover inverted before winter gets here [

Congrats!
One thing for those that have bigger birds: I see some of you saying you are going to "try inverted on the 450...then move on to the 500, 600, etc.". Try it the other way around! The larger heli's are so much more stable and easier to learn inverted on! At least for me it was......

I hope to have a T-Rex 600 next summer but with a scale AS-355 body, I only work on 3D stunt to sharpen my reflex response.

I was thinking the same thing Skarn...but the 500 still intimidates me a little. I have had for 3 weeks now and just yesterday started doing stationary flips and rolls. I love doing FF with the 500...it is so stable compared to the 450. But with the 450 I feel like there is more room in the sky to manuver around with now ROFL...I had the same feeling going from my Axe CP to the 450.

I got cocky at lunch today. [:@] Was flying again and was hovering inverted and doing real well at it...Longest was about a minute and a half and no shorter than 30 seconds...I was so happy
I thought ok...lets try something new...I went to attempt tic tocs...got through one set then I over rotated forward on the second set and my poor 450 went in the ground like the proverbial lawn dart...from the preliminary inspection, it does not look like too much damage...sheared the rotor head screw off again and that saves lots of damage to other parts...
Time to rebuild again
