Default I am up!!!

I am up! Flown my first REAL RC heli.. now for 13 battery cycles hovering. Thank you guys for the knowledge that I have gathered from here (read lot-post little). I did a lot of other searches on the internet as well.

I had flown a bit over a year on a sim (RF G 3.5 with down loads such as the T-Rex 450 and 600) . I went to a local hobby store and they had one on the self....I had gone there to buy another prop for my plane ... 60 size Super Stick I have flown once - some one else T/O and landed and I just flew pattern basicly. But I saw it and had to have!

I already had bought a DX7 for the plane with the intention of a heli... so the rest ensued. 500 CF, Hitec HS5245MG X 3, GY401- S9257 with an EVO 25. Oh and the torque tube as well…. I read about the radio problems and after all it’s only money! (Been saving for quite a while)

I guess you might argue, but I had a Blade CP I flew a couple times before giving it up… I don’t mean to pick, but they suck. Or my CX2… but it all helps I guess.

Well it hasn’t met “dirt yet”… Oh yea, my first build too…

Oh and how do you like this cheapO training gear… man I was paranoid when I trimmed it… I ran it up tied down to my tool box too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7b0oX1cILhA

I set all my links with a set of digital calipers and that seemed to work fine.

Again many thanks and I will be asking more questions. I hope to fly my plane a bit more just to get the hang of flying in a pattern. Then do it with the heli. Does that sound OK?

The plane and the heli….

Oh YEA- I got off with the training gear on flight 6. AND ......although I haven't "soloed" my plane yet, I am the envy of the local fliers.... (very rural) They do planes only. I am a threat.

Looks great!! Keep practicing and having fun! My 500 is setup with the exact same electronics as you and it flies great. It was my favorite until I got my 600.

The plane will give him something to fly while he is waiting for his helicopter batteries to recharge. It seems like that is the only time I ever fly my planes anymore.

Thanks guys!!! [8D] I boat a good bit and plan on putting floats on the plane.... and maybe the heli too?

Weather here has been sucky. Gusting winds at times to 30mph! [] Hope it will clear tomorrow.

Hi,
heres a teaster for you then.
Not mine, but a mates turbine powered heli on floots.
Sounds fantastic but you really don't want to crash this one. Especially into the lake.
