Default Upgrading to a TRex - this a good deal?

Hi All,
Upgrading to a T Rex from a B400. Found a T Rex from helihobby.com. This a good deal?

Trex 450 SE V2 Deal

This is the T-REX 450SE NEW V2 (PRO Blades) which includes the upgraded 430XL motor along with the Align 35X speed controller, wood blades and the Align 2100mah 20C battery. The V2 has thicker frames, thicker feathering shaft, thrust bearings in the head and the reduction tail drive gear to sustain higher head speed. This helicopter flies fantastic and will leave your grinning from ear to ear! The only thing you need is a radio, receiver and charger!

Looking to buy new...thanks anyways.

Anybody have any thoughts of this deal? Are CF frames standard on the V2s?

Looking for suggestions/opinions!

Thanks

I wish I would of bought mine used when I got mine...Could of saved about 300$ total...

Seems like a good deal to me...I spent about 650 on mine when I bought mine...Make sure the hs65's are the MG's...You dont want anything other than the metal gears...Get the HITEC HS-65MG's....I have that setup and love it...Ive flown a b400 before and the t rex is night and day better....You will love it...

But you do need to consider a T REX 500 or the T REX 600 before you commit to a 450...I just had to have my 450 when I got mine and It wasnt even 4 months later and Im already wanting to sell my 450 so I can get a T REX 600esp!!!![sm=drowning.gif]

Just a thought...[sm=72_72.gif]

That looks like a good deal.

I paid $400 for the Heli with CF blades. I think I have seen lower prices, with the 325 pro blades.
The 401 gyro and 9650 servo run close to $200 combined
The 3 Hitec 65HB would be roughly another $130-140.

Your deal comes out less!

Hello,
I have to second Dirt_hawg. I have been flying two Blade 400's for a year now and really like them for the price. Now two of my friends just moved up the T-rex 500ESP and are in LOVE! They are easier to fly and more stable than their 450's. Some of us are using our Blade 400 2,200 battery packs doubled to fly with on the 500 and they work great the guys tell me. So about two weeks ago I went down to EHOBBY who is Helihobby which is close to my house in California. I bought the 500ESP and brought it home and started build but the holidays have slowed me down. I am down to just straping down the wires and the last tid bits. BUT yesterday I found right out of the blue a T-Rex 600 electric with a belt tail for a good deal so I snatched it up. Why, well one of the guys here on the Forum got one and LOVES it and can 3D the crap out of too, he s a hot pilot. Some of the guys have the 450's with TT upgrades but they really love their 500 and 600's more.
Thats my story.
JPEE
