Default Align servos.

I need some sub micro servos and so far these fit my bill. How do the Align servos hold up and what is the quality like?

You know what, I've actually been pretty amazed at how far Align servos have come. I used to use their old 9 grams in my 450 XL HDE and they'd strip every other flight. Now they've got metal gears and such. I'm using the DS-610's in my 600 ESP and I love them. For the price it's pretty good.

They are decent. I use them in a 250 and they work fine. I like hitec 65mg's better though.

From my experince with servos on land vehicles I much prefer digital which the Hitec 65MG is not. But thank you for your input.

A quality analog servo is just as good as a cheap digital one. I agree with you mostly though. All I use are digital servos for everything in my cars and mostly for helis to. I find the hitecs to be smoother than my align servos. Run the 65's on 6 volts. I don't think you will be dissapointed. For tail use get a good digital servo though. I like futaba for tail use but its up to you.

Oh geez! nevermind. The hitecs may be out of your budget. I didn't pay much attention to the price. Sorry about that, I didn't know they were so expensive. . I get them for a rather large discount so I never noticed that they are like 35 bucks.

I am fairly new to aircraft but far from land RC vehicles. I have run Hitec and may other servos on my land vehicles and have to say with digital one of the many advantages is they center MUCH better then analog. I would think this is even more important on aircraft.

I agree. They do center better. It's just that most of the cheaper chinese digital servos I have tried are nothing near a good quality analog servo. I guess they arent programmed as good or something. But thats just what I have tried. I am no way saying that analog is better than digital haha. But I am saying that some analog servos are better than some digital servos.

Price is not bottom line. My land vehicle servos cost between for brake throttle $90 to steering $120 each. But what ever I get I will get digital for sure. I am leaning more towards the Align DS410M Digital Servo which are around $35 each which are all metal gear as well as digital as I can see the benefits when I run them. The only problem with digital is they draw more current but the benefits make it worth while. If I am not mistake the Hitec you recommend are all so bigger then the ones I am listing. I could make them fit but rather not go cutting on CF.

I did buy some cheap ones I will try in my little indoor coaxial s. So far I have not had much problem with the $5 digital E-Sky just I am building a nice helicopter and want good servos as I do not want to take a chance.

What do others think about the Align servos.
I do appreciat you input and do thank you.

Aframomum thanks. The poll is showing around 30% going bad is not good. I looked at the Hitec HS-5065MG Digital Micro BB a bit pricey but good servos are not cheap. On my land vehicles I have had several Hitec s go bad.
