Thanks for the info noobflyer. I've been debating which battery to get for mine, and more importantly - where to get it from?...

NP. I'm using the turnigy's 5000mah 6s 40C packs. Igot mine from a US vendor for $140. At HC you can get them for $99 plus shipping. Wait time is around two weeks as these are over seas.

elevator lock gain adjustment    45

rudder total gain adjustment   50
rudder lock gain adjustment  50

increased 5 points on hiller rate  now at 45
decreased 5 points on bell rate  now at 75

all other settings are stock.

sorry about the long delay to answer. I replaced my stock swash with a trex 600 swash. Kegerator (KDE) a member over at helifreak had a tail vibration that he couldnt figure out. After weeks of trial and error he concluded the stock swash was ever so slightly off center causing a vibration that amplified at the tail fin. Replacing the swash fixed his problem. I did the same for mine plus Ireplaced the stock flimsy tail fin with a much more sturdy trex 600 tail fin.

Ijust ordered the CC ICE100a for my heli. Iwill be running this bird on 2500rpm governed.

This heli is a beast.  I just love how you can tune the heli to suit your style. very cool.  Flys like its on rails!   Look Ma, no more wobble!

I just sold off the stock esc and will install the CC ICE 100a when it arrives on Wednesday.

Good move on the ESC. Saturday, I blew a Castle ICE75 on a different helicopter, but I ordered a 100 ICE Monday. Ithink I blew it because I put a Scorpion 4020 1100kv in the helicopter and regeared for at least 2600 rpm on a different brand of 550. Wasn't pretty.

I love how your bird is flying, T!

thanks Scott.

Ijust installed the ICE 100 and did a flight on it .

here's the CCdata log.

I still get a very tiny amount of tail wag. Ithink go to a better tail servo will fix that problem. just another excuse to upgrade.

Thanks Hollywood.  I'm really liking it now.   It flys real BIG and has gobs of power at your disposal.   I"m upgrading the tail servo next and get more batteries and I'm set.

Compared to the Trex 500,  the 550 flys much bigger and feels very stable.   With some tweaking to the 3G it works very well.

Wow... 158 Amps max... wow... just wow. Stunnning. Kinda makes me think I did good with the 100, too. I won't know soon, though... I found a broken servo mount today and the replacements have to be ordered from Qatar.

Awesome is about the only word I can think of, too! Outstanding is another word, but that's for your flying. Wow is another word. That's it.

Trust me, T... you deserve that and more. Your skills have really grown a lot. I'm more than impressed, sir. I'm kind of torn betwen a Gaui X5 and the T-Rex 550 FBL version. I have until IRCHAto decide, but something in me is tugging toward the T-Rex.

I got in another flight this morning.  More of the awesome goodness   I'm still reluctant to try out new moves for the fear of crashing.  I want to have a good amount of flight time with it before I walk down that path.   She's just too pretty.
