2*3s and 6s

The 2 2500 mAh batteries in series will only be 6s 2500 and will give 1/2 the flight time of a 6s 5000 mAh battery. If being run on the T-Rex 600 you're going to be overly tail heavy and the amp strain will heat your packs up rather fast. With the 500 on the other hand, the two 2500's in series (for 6s) will provide plenty of power. This also depends on C rating and how new (or used) the batteries are.
Augerin, I'm surprised that set up didn't work for you.

To date, all I've ran on my 500 are 2x2200mah, 25c. I've since sold then and got some Nano-Tech 2650mah 25c with 50 burst from HobbyCity. (will be here this week) But when I was running the 2200's I would get 4 1/2 minutes and the power was never a problem. I mean I couldn't do rolls and flips one after another but I mainly sport fly anyway. These new 2650's should be 10 times better than the 2200's. Should be able to pull off 6 1/2 minute flights no problem. One of the biggest things I llike about running 2 lipos vs one 6S is, in a crash, if a lipos get hammered chances are it'll only be one of two and you wont find yourself buying another 6S, just a 3S.

It ran & flew but limited flight time( 04min )compared to 6s 3300 mah Outrage I purchased for it after ( 6:30 min). I was running 2 2200 mah packs together and it just didn't seem to come to life until I ran the 6s Outrage. The smaller packs had quit a few cycles on them which I'm sure didn't help the situation, I would just rather fly with right size battery. With Hobby King offering 6s urnagy batteries for about $57 plus shipping it just doens't make sense to me. Right now I fly on both Hyperion batteries ( love em) and a pair of the older formula Turnagys. I'm going to order 2200 mah Turnagys next week. There suposed to be able to handle the 5c charge like the Hyperions so well see and they can be had for I believe it was 16.99 plus shipping vs 51.99 for Hyperion, so we'll see

The Nano -Tech lipos are great, the higher burst rate really helps. I havent gone to crazy with them yet. Just a couple of bunch out and fast figure 8's to see how they feel pulling out of a turn. I have a few quarks with my 500 that I have to workout before I start flipping again. Then I'm sure I'll see a nice difference in these lipos.
