YS 1.40 Sport Figures
All readings were taken with a Tower Hobbies (Hobbico) tachometer. Fuel used was Powermaster YS 20/20, OS #F plug. Temp was in the mid 70's, humidity in the mid 30's, southeast Michigan elevation. This was the engine's first gallon of fuel, so undoubtedly performance will increase correspondingly with engine time. Numbers in parenthesis are approximate thrust values derived from the ThrustHP program.
APC 15.5 x 12w 7700 rpm (10.27 lbs)
APC 16 x 10 Pattern 8160 rpm (13.09lbs)
APC 18 x 6 8500 rpm (22.75lbs) (engine peaked to 9000rpm when stock cheesy muffler broke off)
Engine started and ran flawlessly throughout testing. Only a slight regulator adjustment was necessary besides typical needle adjustments.
