ZDZ 80 RV brand new, first time run.
40:1 fuel with penzoil 2 stroke air cooled oil
Menz S 26x10
Cold temps (-5 C)
On the second tank of fuel, we easily got 6700 RPMs
with reliable idle at about 1300 RPMs
Perfect transition and rather easy to start.

It is the JMB canister. It is not supposed to "tune" but with these RPMs, one could say that they are slightly tuned. I do not know their specific part number but the can is HUGE. It measures 3" dia. and 12" long and those are the measurements of the chamber only.
The only thing sad is that it will not fly before 2005...

Money and time.
OK, especially money. It is going in a scratch built 35% Giles 202. I have all the foam but nothing is built. I am gathering items slowly and so far, I only have the engine and some electronics (not much).
The reason for going to gas is to save money from fuel and have a better flying plane. The fuel this year will cost me at least 450$. I fly a cap 232 25% scratch built at 11.5 lbs with a YS 140 DZ. I really don't understand why pattern planes need to be lighter than 11 lbs with this engine, as it is really powerful. Sounds heavy at 11.5 but it is not that bad so I will continue to fly it this year for IMAC and 3D. I like this plane so I do not feel the NEED for another one this year.
