Default Name your tachometer

I have been looking online for a tach. to buy . It seems there are not a wide variety to choose from. I beleive the best one I have found also has a load voltmeter for RX and TX batteries. If you can be so kind to give the name and maufacturer of the tach you are using I will appreciate your response. Thank You.

I am using the Hangar 9 DVT/DVT Digital Voltmeter/Tachometer. I selected this model for several reasons: 1) Available at LHS (instant gratification) 2) Many forum members have given rave reviews about the "TNC Tachometer" -- but they appear to be unavailable for the near future. 3)Cost this unit was very affordable -- I found some other commercial/industrial laser tach's that look great but were very expensive $300/$400.

They also have a mini-tach that looks interesting -- LHS did not have a one so I opted for the DVT -- figured a Voltmmeter/Tach Combo was not a bad idea. I have only used it once and so far I am happy.

ACE TachMaster II, a GloBee Tach and a GloBee Intellitach. The Intellitach gives identical readings to my friends TNC, the ACE and the standard GloBee read the same as the Intellitach except that the ACE only does two blades.

Thank you two for responding. I just ordered the Glow Bee intellitach. When searching for the 'ACE TachMaster II' I found what seems to be a good RC supplier. The name is Wholesaletrains.com . The prices are miraculous in my book and at this time I am continuing to avoid ordering from tower hobbies.

P.S. don't let the name of the site fool you , they sell allot more than trains. The best thing is they are located in N.Y. Shipping should be fast.

3rd the H9 DVT. Seems to be very accurate. I've used it on a few gassers and my OS FL-70 and it seems to give good results.

It is accurate. I've notice that when the battery inthe DVT gets low, the voltage indicator for your packs can be slightly off, but that is only when the DVT's battery is low. Other than that it is a great item and I've used mine for years so far.

There is a Laser Tach on Ebay. The seller's name is "service369" without the quotes, of course. The BuyIt now price is $24.00, they are up for bid also. The shipping from Hong Kong is $22.00, that is the ouch part, but it is a nice looking unit. I ordered one of these, I'll come back and give a report on it.
