Brison 2.4 Numbers

I will definitely change to a stiffer brand of propeller. Several people at my field suggested switching to Menz standard wood props. I have the Bisson side mounted muffler, and it didn't sound loud at all. I haven't measured it with a sound meter though.

Richard,
I had a GRS 20x8 (Mejzlik copy) on my 2.4 pulling a 16.5-17lb 80" Texas Hurricane with aurthority. Would Hover with that propeller and slowly pull out. On a warbird you should have plenty of speed and still be able to slow down. In fact a 20x8 should pull you out of the grass better than a 20x10. Your Zeke fly's nice per your video you have everything pretty much dialed in.
Wonder how a 3W-42I would do on the WM GS Zero.

I think a 3W-42I would do great on the WM GS Zero. However, you only have slightly less than 6" from the firewall to the front of the prop driver washer, so the carb of the 3W-42I will need to stick inside the fuselage. My next WM GS Zero will get a Brison 3.2 if I can still find that engine.
Here is my prop collection for my Brison 2.4:

Richard,, I was looking at your Bolly prop numbers, your Bolly 20x10 is a wider bladed prop than the Bolly 19x10,,, if you could get a Bolly 20x10 with thinner blades I'm betting you will be right in the RPM where you want to be..
boy, would I like to try that Bolly 19x10 on my MVVS..

Richard,, you may want to try a 20x10 Fuchs carbon (see link),, their blades look to have a thinner cord than other brand carbon props of the same size, maybe they will spin-up a bit higher than the others..

kb7,
Any one that sells yard equipment, mowers, trimmers can order a kit for you. I'd run down to the local chainsaw dealer and order a carb kit for a WT76.
Good Luck

I've been running an 18 x 10 menz prop on my Kangke Waco and I broke it last week at an airshow... Only prop I could come up with was a Zinger Paint stick 18 x 8/14... I was surprized how much I like the pull of this prop on my WACO... Wish I could get it insomething besides a Zinger crap prop. I was lookign for a 19 x 10 or 19 x 8... used a 20x8 but didn't pull my Waco too well. Dont want to go Carbon want to stay wood... any suggestions??

Bull,, I tried a Zinger 20x8 on my MVVS 35cc gasser and I was not impressed,, so I tried a 3W 20x8 and I was very happy with it, the 3W loaded my motor more, (Zinger 20x8 7690) (3W 20x8 7370) "that was peaked RPMs,,
you said you were not happy with the 20x8,, well from all the RPM numbers I have read the Brison 2.4 is not a high RPM motor, it is a torquer !!, it does not turn a Zinger 20x8 any more than my MVVS 35 will, "somewhere around 7700",, for wood~ what makes the Brison 2.4 pull is a 20x10 at around 7000,,
try a 3w 20x10, or a 3W 22x8 I think you will be happy..

Do any of you know what three bladed prop I could use on my corsair 17# brison 2.4. I tried a solo prop 18x4 could only get 5580. I was thinking on going with maybe a three blade 16x8 any suggestions.
