Default Brison 3.2

I have a brison 3.2 and am trying to find a sweet spot for it as I am building an Aviation Model Yak 18-19# --- anyone have any info?

Here is mine --

running 92 Octane Fuel with Amsoil 80:1

Texas hurricane round 15# has a revolution 22x8 (which really measures 21 1/4") and seems to pull with authority have not done readings on this yet.

no data yet.

Kangke Laser 2000 17.5#
Engine Readings are on ground, cowled Engine.

Zinger 22x8 got 7200RPM, Engine Temp (Static) 277, and got about 23# of pull
revolution 22x8 ( had a blem on the end so it was sanded and rebalanced and is roughly (21") 7000 RPM, Engine Temp 210, 25-26# of pull

have a few other props to try Zinger 20x10, and 20x12

I'm runnunig a 3W 22X8 and getting @ 7000 rpm. I fly it on a 18# Cap. It pulls OK out of a hover and probably would do OK on a 19# bird. Just try to keep it as light as you can and don't expect a rocket.

MSC 22-8 on the 3.2 will turn about 6,900 rpm but out pull most any other prop at a higher rpm. It's a wide blade thing.

A Menz 22-8 will turn in around 7050-7150 and a Mejzlik will get in the 7150 to 7250 rpm range. The MSC still out pulls them. Forget the Zinger. In testing and actual flight it provided the highest rpm numbers but the worst flight performance.

I've flown a Brison 3.2 in aerobatic planes up to about 21 pounds and it did quite well when heavy. Not a hovering engine at that weight but at 18 pounds does just fine. A little slow on the vertical pull out of a hover but that's to be expected at 18 pounds and up.

Im running the Xoar 22x8 but only getting around 6400-6500 RPM (Engines are not really broken in yet -- only gone through about 4 Gallons of fuel between 2 of them (Laser and Hurricane)-- Yak has only 8 flights on it so it has a ways to go.

My guess is at about the 3 - 4 Gallon mark each engine should be fully broken in. So I guess Im about 1/2 way there.

At 7200 RPM the Mejzlik should produce about 26# of thrust
AT 7000 RPM the Menz Standard will produce 27# of thrust.

Laser is starting to show signs of good authority on the uplines, and will take off standing still on the runway in a 20 knot headwind (ask me how I know this -- or just ask about the District I AMA fly in ..lol)

Hurricane performs very well but is running the revolution 22x8 prop.

The Yak at 18# will pull out of a hover, but not with authority.

I am thinking of switching to the Mejzlik 22x8 but have not done any ground tests yet. I don't have a menzS to switch too, but if the Mejlik tests hold true I'll probably go get a couple of Menz Props.

My Brison 3.2

22x10 Menz "S" 6800 rpm
22x8 Bambula swept tip 6800 rpm

Both pull very well.
A little more speed with the 22x10 and a little more vertical with the 22x8.

Good Luck
John
