Default gasket

Just wanted to speak up about my experience removing the base gasket and using liquid gasket materal. Big mistake. My engine was hard to start and detonated very bad! It knocked at FT and hardly produced enough power to fly my long John. After replacing the gasket,,, All is well. I think it changed the port timing as well as the compression.
Just my experience. Your results may vary, Please let me know what happens when you try it.
