I now have about 50 OZ of Cool Power 30% Heli fuel through my YS 63, on my test stand. I have tried an APC 14x4W, 13x3W,and J-Zinger 14x4.
I had to turn the regulator screw in (clockwise looking from bottom) about 1 1/2 turns to get the midrange cleaned up. Now great idle, transition, and top end.
These RPM readings are not peak, but are backed off for flying.
APC 14x4W = 10,200 rpm. Lifted 8 lbs, 4 oz on my test setup.
APC 13x4W = 11,600 rpm. Lifted 8 lbs, 12 oz.
J-Zinger 14x4 = 9900 rpm. Lifted 8 lbs.
I like the APC 13x4. Throttle response is excellent, and spin-up is quick. The APC 14x4W loads the engine more, and slows the spin-up.
I have 6 cases of Magnum 30% YS DZ fuel on order. $17.50 per gallon delivered to my door.
(I also have a 1.40 DZ

I just fired my second YS 63 up on Saturday night with no problems.
After the break in tank, about 20 minutes, set rich for break in I was getting:
11,000 RPM
Wildcat YS20/20
OS type F
APC 12-7
My repaired ultra stick with 12 oz of fuel weighs 6lbs, and the YS 63 will pull it up and out of sight on take off.
I love it.

Hi guys..I am desperate for some set-up help. I bought my new 63FZ run a gallon of YS (model Technics/UK) fuel through it, but CANT MAKE IT WORK PROPERLY.
Full throttle is fine.. idle is fine...mid range is fine...all this for the first 2 minutes. Then if i close the throttle on flight, the engine is dying very slowly. What i mean is that by puling back the stick, thats it! No response after that no matter what i do.
It revs on idle and by increasing or decreasing the throttle there is no change...
Is this too much fuel on idle? is it to lean on idle?. Maybe mess with the regulator??
Help please...
I bought a Flip 3d and i am now thinking of changing to my OS 50 as i NEVER had set up problems...
By the way this is my 1st YS..

Read the thread on the below link (second part) as the writer seems to have had similar problems

Also, there is a YS Support section in the Engines section. You should try your query there.
