Default YS 45 w/ tuned pipe

What kind of RPM are people getting with the YS 45 with tuned pipe (Macs)?

I was getting about 16K without anything attached, and I have cut down the header to get about 17,300. Since this is on the bench, I figure it will unload at a higher RPM in the air. The specs say the practical range is 18,000. Should I not expect or try to get more than the 17,300 on the ground?

YS 45 W/macs quiet tuned pipe

Wildcat 20/20

APC 11-7

OS#8

About 12,700 but I'm sure there was a little more there. I don't think I had the space between the header and tuned pipe adjusted correctly. I will do some more testing in a couple of weeks and hopefully get back to this thread.

I guess I should add that it was a 10x7 prop w/ 20/20 fuel. Can't remember what kind of plug.
