Default TTX650 Throttle Cut Vulnerability (Twin Motors)

The attached PDF describes my issue in detail. There is a vulnerability (or at least one in the TTX650 I own) which affects the ability of the throttle cut to work as intended when CH3 is mixed with another channel to control dual engines. I use the Throttle Cut as a safety on my models. I constructed my first twin engine electric and mixed CH3 to CH5 so that both left and right motors will operate from the throttle stick. When throttle cut is enabled, advancing the throttle stick inhibits CH3 but CH5 advances. Bad situation!! I also have a TTX850 and it does NOT exhibit this behavior. I needed to use a mix so I could mix rudder and differential throttle.

Obviously, if I reassign CH3 to both CH3 and CH5 everything works as expected on the TTX650 but you cannot program differential thrust.

I called Tech support about this issue over a year ago but was brushed off. I thought my tip would necessitate a firmware update at a minimum.

The TTX850 is a more-advanced transmitter than the TTX650. The throttle cut function does not operate through mixers in the 650. We will pass on your concern to the Tactic development team.
