Default Spin Condition for F3A

Hi Don,

Could you please outline the major rules you follow for adjusting a condition for spins and the throws you have set on your planes please?

I fly a CARF Integral which is a nice plane, locks pretty well and snaps very well too but I don't like the way it spins. I have set low aileron, low elevator and low rudder for the spin condtion, however when it spins it looks like a knife edge spin rather than a spiral spin. I am refering to P09 schedule where I perform positive spins, entry from upright and exit inverted.

Thanks in advance,

Nikos

Default RE: Spin Condition for F3A

You can check with Jason Shulman who has flown one. I set up a spin condition for extra rudder, extra aileron and extra elevator. I also set up with some rudder offset if it dips one direction on entry.

I enter spin with elevator, then once the plane stalls I put in rudder then aileron.
